Video: Center for the Visual Arts Opens with Grand Celebration

The School of Art's newly completed Center for the Visual Arts celebrated its grand opening on May 6. A large crowd filled the building lobby for the opening ceremony, which was followed by tours, live music, student exhibitions and a keynote lecture by visiting artist Mel Chin. Watch the video, which excerpts opening remarks by Beverly Warren (Kent State president), John Crawford-Spinelli (College of the Arts dean), Christine Havice (School of Art director) and Dennis Eckart (Board of Trustees chair):
