Furtado has served on numerous boards of trustees in Knoxville, Tennessee. Currently, she serves on the boards of the Cleveland International Film Festival and Hillel at Â鶹¹û¶³. Furtado is married to Kent State’s 13th President, Todd Diacon, and the couple have a son.
