Kent State Dedicates Two New Facilities

The Aeronautics and Technology Building and the Center for Undergraduate Excellence were both dedicated during events leading up to Kent State President Beverly Warren’s inauguration. The former will serve as the home for the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology. The latter will be the home of the new University College.

In the newly released rankings, Kent State is once again the highest-ranked public institution in northern Ohio, and with its impressive national ranking of No. 129, the university continues to be recognized among the Top Public Schools in the nation.

The Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2029 during its regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 17 in the Kent Student Center. The Board congratulated the university administration for this year’s strong enrollment.  

The Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.
