The music technology minor at Kent State Stark is designed to give students a strong foundation in the rapidly developing field of music production and audio recording technologies.
In response to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Kacie Gikonyo, a former nurse with 13 years of experience in end-of-life care and a Kent State Uniersity graduate, has become a pioneering figure in the field of death doulas. Similar to birthing doulas who assist expectant mothers, death doulas support individuals nearing the end of their lives, aiming to ensure a more comfortable and empowering transition. The NASA-affiliated Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) in Baltimore, Maryland, was founded in 1981 as the home base for Space Telescope operations.
