From operating and managing swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs),
to air traffic control, to becoming a pilot here in the U.S. or across the globe
to help solve the world's pilot shortage, the School of Aeronautics at Kent State
University is ready for you to takeoff!

  • It was a childhood fascination with aviation that led alumna Linell Homentosky to choose Â鶹¹û¶³ when it came time to pick the ideal college program for her. As she tells it, the interest was first sparked by her aunt, Judy, who was a flight attendant.

  • Ashanti Mallit's childhood fascination with aviation led her to Kent State, where she is now a professional pilot major. She discovered Kent State through the United Aviate Program, a career development initiative that helps aspiring pilots transition to United Airlines as first officers.

  • Jason Lorenzon, J.D., assistant professor of aeronautics at Â鶹¹û¶³, was recently featured on 93.5 WAKR’s Ray Horner Morning Show and detailed the new changes coming to the Kent State airport.
