The College of Aeronautics and Engineering's Industrial Advisory Board is comprised of decision makers from a diverse cross-section of aeronautics and engineering industry. They are active in counseling our curricular activities with emphasis on a joint effort resulting in the brightest and best-prepared graduates. The Aeronautics & Engineering Councils provide professional input for those specific disciplines.

For Kent, Ohio, native and 2018 鶹 graduate Stan Zalewski, mathematics has always been a big part of his life. Now a senior actuarial consultant at Nationwide Insurance, Zalewski recently reached a milestone few achieve in his profession — earning the title of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).“It was exciting, and it felt like the end to a long road,” Zalewski said. “I actually started taking those exams back when I was at Kent State, so it’s been a nine-year process to complete those 13 exams.”Only about 7,000 actuaries worldwide hold the FCAS credential, mak...
