Student Spotlight - Ruth Miller

Miller, hailing from Monroeville, Pennsylvania, is a sophomore Aerospace Engineering student, with a minor in Economics. In her first semester of college, she co-founded the at Kent State, hoping to bring speakers and professional development workshops to Kent State’s engineering program in the spirit of empowering women and providing a community for womxn to grow as young professionals.

CAE Faculty Finds Repeated Success in SURE Program and 3MT Competition

In October 2022, five College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE) students competed in Âé¶¹¹û¶³'s (KSU) Undergraduate Three Minute Thesis competition. Each student’s project was completed during the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE), a summer term research program for KSU students.

UAV Flight Propels Fuel Cell Research

Innovative Hybrid Fuel Cell Developed for Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles

The project team, led by Yanhai Du, Ph.D., developed a lightweight-high-energy-density onboard power source that enables vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) type aircraft to potentially increase flight time and payload.
