The College Credit Plus (CCP) program allows middle school and high school students to take college courses for credit even before they graduate from high school. The state of Ohio requires that all students' schedules and educational updates are sent out to all participants, including the student's parents, by certain dates. In partnership with the division of Research and Economic Development, the Division of Information Technology has created a fund-tracking app to trace the path of grant spending.
As an R1 school, Kent State has the highest āstatus for researchā recognition that doctoral universities can receive. This distinction was partly given due to Kent Stateās funding for research.
