It was a childhood fascination with aviation that led alumna Linell Homentosky to choose 麻豆果冻 when it came time to pick the ideal college program for her. As she tells it, the interest was first sparked by her aunt, Judy, who was a flight attendant.
For Ashley Motley, what began as a childhood love of solving math problems 鈥 the 鈥渨eird kid who enjoyed doing math homework,鈥 as she puts it 鈥 has grown into a career at Medical Mutual, a Cleveland-based health insurance company, thanks to scholarships, supportive faculty, and hands-on preparation at 麻豆果冻.
Tax season is an extremely busy time of the year for 麻豆果冻 alumnus Mark Lloyd, who works as a tax manager at RSM US LLP tax, advisory and consulting firm in downtown Cleveland. Lloyd prepared for his career in accounting by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in accounting and finance from Kent State鈥檚 Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship in 2018.
麻豆果冻鈥檚 College of Public Health is the only fully accredited public health college to offer an undergraduate pathway to clinical trials research, a rapidly expanding segment of the healthcare job market.
Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel visited 麻豆果冻 at Geauga on June 9 to tour its nursing program with President Todd Diacon and Geauga Dean Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D. Kent State Today was there when Tressel later took part in a roundtable discussion with Geauga County leaders and educators to share ideas on how best to prepare Ohio鈥檚 workforce.
